The Electrical Design Engineer possesses advanced knowledge in the field of electrical engineering, which is utilized to provide electrical engineering design for HVACR equipment as produced by Smart Family of Cooling Products.

Essential Job Duties:

• Main Goals:
  • Create all electrical schematics for all manufacturing projects.
  • Create all electrical backplate vinyl's.
  • Create all operator vinyl's.
  • Select electrical components for project.
• Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Designing the electrical aspect of HVACR units with the SOLIDWORKS program.
  • Designing the electrical aspect of HVACR units with the AutoCAD program.
• Test electrical systems and adjust as needed.
• Provide support throughout the manufacturing of the electrical systems.
• Utilize CAD to design and perfect new electrical systems.
• Provide support throughout the manufacturing if the electrical systems.
• Design prototypes, troubleshoot potential issues, make changes to fix any issues and create                       specifications and other details for the systems.
• Document specifications, schematics, and diagrams regarding projects.
• Produce reports addressing project progress and other details for managerial staff.
• Assist in the production of electrical systems in the manufacturing of industrial equipment.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all work completed and properly store on the public drive.

Education and Experience:

• Four-year degree in electrical engineering is preferred.

The Industrial HVAC Process Technician will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to chillers and their ancillary equipment. 

Essential Job Duties:

• Inspect and troubleshoot problems with existing chiller equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on chiller equipment to ensure they operate properly.
• Repair or replace parts on existing chiller equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair industrial refrigeration systems including refrigerant handling, instrumentation, control valves, motors, motor controls, motor switch gear, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s), soft-starts, pumps, exchangers, filter, and refrigeration controllers.
• Position may require working up to 15% (no more than 300 hours) overtime throughout the year, as directed by the client and/or upper management.
• Comply with company and industry safety standards.

The HVAC Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all HVAC equipment project documentation and deliverables.

Essential Job Duties:

• Review HVAC project documentation, including drawings, specifications, scopes of work, submittals, change orders, and release notes for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify that designs and installations align with Smart Family standards, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly quality audits on active jobs and production processes, documenting findings and follow up actions.
• Perform in person and virtual production walkthroughs to observe work in progress, verify critical details, and identify quality or safety concerns.
• Participate in video calls with internal teams and vendors to review quality issues, clarify requirements, and track corrective actions.
• Maintain organized quality records, checklists, and audit reports in the company’s systems.
• Escalate non conformances, coordinate with project managers and supervisors on remediation plans, and track closure of corrective actions.
• Provide feedback and coaching to field and production teams regarding quality expectations, documentation standards, and common issues.
• Assist with internal and external audits as needed and support continuous improvement initiatives.
